Scottsdale Aquatic Club

SAC is a fantastic club with top-tier coaches! The only reason our kids are not still swimming with SAC is because we moved out of the country. I'm confused by Peter's review because the coach he is referring to repeatedly reminded parents in weekly emails that "Parents do NOT sit near any practice that is happening on deck. We have a lot of moving parts on deck, you need to stay in your designated area." This is for safety and also so your kids can focus on the coach, and not rely on parent side coaching. Depending on the pool, this designated area was a set of bleachers far across the pool, or seating on a raised deck area. This literally left no opportunity for the coach to sit down and gossip with parents. Conversely, she was also in the water very often with the kids which absolutely leaves no room for side conversations with parents. Our kids received stellar coaching through the 10U, 11-12, and 13-14 divisions. We experienced many different coaches between the two kids during those years and each one brought professionalism, experience, and fun to each practice. SAC coaches care about the kids' mental health, friendships, and love of sport - not just their times in the wat

My daughter swims here and it has been a great experience. The coaching is strong and the meets are well organized and run on time, which parents notice. The facility is clean and well maintained, and the culture is competitive without losing the fun of it. She has improved a lot and looks forward to practice. Easy recommendation for families looking at competitive swimming in Scottsdale.

Our daughter has been swimming with SAC for the last two years, and joining the team has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. She genuinely loves going to practice and has found a sport that she’s excited about! Her 10U coach has been amazing. You can tell how much she cares about each swimmer—not just helping them become stronger athletes, but also building their confidence and making them feel supported. She has learned so much and improved immensely. The coaches, families, and teammates have created an environment where kids can work hard yet have fun and build friendships outside of the pool :)

Coaching staff is rude. Talks badly about other teams and swimmers. Not a positive environment for your swimmer to be in. 10 & Under coach sits down during practices and gossips with parents/coworkers instead of coaching her swimmers. Go somewhere else.

Thank you for your generous hospitality. My daughter enjoyed her 5am swim under the moon and stars while we were on vacation : )
